Update

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile...we've all been a bit busy.

Jeremy and I had a nice trip up to Washington, but just didn't feel right about moving there.

We had 4 offers on our house but just couldn't bring ourself to accept them. We declined all the offers and took our house off the market.

The day after we took our house off the market I got a call from Wachovia to become a staff appraiser. I had applied last September for the position but they hired someone else, who didn't work out. My first day was last Monday and so far I really love my job!

Lisa's Beach Adventure

I am in North Carolina with Matthew and Becky for a few days. Matthew had a work thing and he didn't want Becky to hang out by herself so I came along. Today Becky and I went to the beach. I had packed sun block but got it taken away at the airport because you can't bring liquids into the secure area. I didn't want to buy a big thing of sun block just to have it taken away again. We found small deoderant shaped packages of sun block. We bought that so we could take it with us (all liquids and jells need to be less than 3 ounces.) Well I guess I didn't do a very good job using my sun block!!

Where did my baby go?

I can't believe how quickly my baby is growing up! Cassandra got her first tooth last week and her second is about to break through. Corryn and Melia didn't get their first teeth until about 8 or 9 months and Cassandra is only 5 months!

I will try to put up some pictures soon. Jeremy had both of the cameras at work but now they are at home.

She keeps going, and going, and going

On Tuesday while I was working on my computer, Melia was playing on the floor next to me. She stood up and said "Mom, I swallowed a watch battery." I called poison control to see what I'm supposed to do. They told me to go get an x-ray. I really wish that could keep a copy of x-rays. It was interesting to see a perfect metal circle in my daughter’s stomach.

The battery came out yesterday and we have had many talks about what we can eat and what we can't.

Lisa's Day Off

Raising 3 kids is hard work. About a month ago I started planning a day off. I decided that I would get together with my sisters-in-law, Becky and Nancy, and my mom to shop, eat with out kids, and watch a non-kid movie.

Last Saturday was our big day out. We went and saw "Premonition". Then we went to lunch. After lunch I had to go home to feed Cassandra (we tried to give her a bottle for a week but she never took it). After lunch we headed to Park City to the outlet mall.

I almost never spend money on myself so Jeremy wanted me to take $150 and spend it all on me. I don't carry a purse, just a diaper bag, and I usually stick my wallet in there. Since I didn't have kids I didn't have a diaper bag. I didn't want to carry just my wallet so I put my cash into my pocket.

The first store we went into I found some skirts that I wanted to try on. I decided to buy one of the skirts. I went over to the counter to pay for it. I pulled out my money and realized that I didn't have my $100 bill. I paid for my skirt and headed back to the dressing room. Someone was in it. The worker knocked on the door and asked the woman if she had found a $100 bill. The woman said "Oh thank you. I dropped my $100 bill out of my left pocket." Everyone who heard it looked at each other in confusion. So she did find the money? But she just happened to have dropped her money just minutes after I dropped mine? And in the exact same spot?

So me being me, I go outside to call Jeremy and cry. I come back in to look again. At this point I'm pretty mad. I wait for the woman to come out of the dressing room. I thought of a few things to say to her but nothing that was approipate or would have gotten me my money back. When she came out of the dressing room I asked again if she found my money. She said that she only found her money. I'm in total shock and don't know what to say. I started to leave the store but then noticed that Nancy was buying a skirt. I walked over to her. The woman started to walk to the check out but saw us and turned and walked away.

Over the next 48 hours I though of things I could have and maybe should have said to her. I don't think she would have given my money back to me whatever I would have said. She told a lie and didn't know how to get out of it. I wish I would have said something like "Don't spend all my money in one place" or something like that.

Oh well. Live and learn. Next time I will take a purse or credit cards and not leave cash in my pocket. It's too bad that out all the women that were in that store that the most dishonest one had to find my money.
