I swear I've mentioned it before, but I made the mistake of telling Bryan how much I make - which is probably a lot less than you can out here. But ever since then, every conversation we have had, I have been pressured into buying something.
Today, it was this gay lamp. Yesterday, it was a pitcher, the day before, a chair. What's next, he'll take the pillow back? Wait, I bought an expensive pillow today because the ride to IKEA was so thoughtfully taken from me.
OK, Ok. I bought the pitcher today too. And I took a broken chair until I can get a cheep fold away. It's the principle of it all! Corryn is only two, but she understands about sharing.
And he thought I was taking advantage of him? Well, what a great idea. I'll start doing that. Kidding, I’ve wasted enough time venting.
Posted by Michael at August 20, 2003 07:56 PMHave you ever told your roommate how you feel about his requests that you buy stuff for the apartment? Maybe they should lower your rent if you are also expected to supply furnishings for the apartment. Wasn't the point of their keeping your rent extra high in the first place that you didn't supply any of the existing furnishings you get the use of? I think it stinks that they are trying to get money out of you from both ends!
