Ownership rights

I think Troy could sense my disturbed flight about handing over a VRE pass. I was not upset that I gave it away. I was bothered that I could not argue on how it was given, or rather taken.

I actually thought about handing it over earlier. It would have been a nice jester and he could use the pass. I decided he would take it as a cheep bribe of sorts so I put it away.

Jeremy left the card on the train. He actually said he didn't want it. At that point it was abandoned.

I took over ownership when I instructed mom to grab it for me. I entertained the idea that I would use it somehow.

In the van, Jeremy asked if l grabbed the card. In affirmation l asked if he wanted it back. He said no but commanded that l give it to Troy.

I wanted to argue that he couldn't transfer ownership unless I gave it back to him. This technicality would have dampened my generally generous demeanor. I just silently handed it over to Troy. So the card was from me because Jeremy refused to take ownership beck when I offered it!

Your welcome Troy. No need to pay me back. I just would have used it to joy
ride.

Michael,

I paid for it. I gave it away. Nothing that happened between those two events matters. I should note that I'd probably have given you the ticket if you had asked for it. I didn't even know you were interested in it.

I have to admit to being a little surprised that something like this would bug you considering you got away with letting others pay for quite a bit for you on this trip...including the two trips on the VRE that you had already taken at my expense before the incident you described above.

Had I not instructed Mom to grap it for me, chances are you wouild not been able to "transfer" it to Troy.
