Underground City

On a wall in the spy museum is a miniature display of a series of tunnels in Vietnam. They called it the Underground City. The tunnels connected several rooms together.

My Dad had talked about these tunnels. I understand the marines who searched these tunnels were called Tunnel rats. They had a life expectancy of 2 ½ days. I am glad I got a better idea of what he might have seen.

The membership has proved very informative. On my first visit, I didn't stop to read about the display because it was crowded. The second time, I overheard my Mom asked my Dad about the accuracy of it. By my third, I was anxious to read it for myself.
