I suppose one could argue that a lot of things in life are much like a game. Each game may sport it's own form of chance. Making it a bit of a gamble over the potential outcome(s).
It may be possible to become more efficient or effective in a game. By so doing improving one's odds at winning. Sometimes it is just purely chance.
A game can be entertaining. The amount of time invested in playing or learning to play can be debated to be worth more concentrated elsewhere.
