Oh wait; there is one other thing now that I am on my political soapbox. I have mentioned before that Sheri Dew bugs the [heck] out of me because every time I heard her speak or heard her name the fact that she was not married always followed. It’s like she could not let it go!
Praise me for I am stalwart ant not married. Honor me for my commitments while I failed to obtain the greatest of all commitments. Worship me because of my authoritative status.
Anyway, what little I know and care about Kerry and his ambiguous, end all solution plan for America, is that I don’t think I have heard him speak where he has not mentioned he is a Vietnam vet.
Praise me for I served in that “Great War”. Honor me for my heroic duty. Worship me for my godsend plan for America.
My father served in Vietnam. He got a bronze star and a purple heart. I think he is ten times the man Kerry ever was or will be.

Posted by: Michael at October 24, 2004 01:17 PMI think the reason Sister Dew's matrimonial status is continually brought up is because as a religon, we are all strongly encouraged to get married and have families. For some women, though, the opportunity to marry a rightous Priesthood holder is just not there. Females, by nature, often assume they are failures in the Church if they didn't get that chance. But then they see Sheri Dew and they know that it is still possible to be a contributing member of the Church, even if you are single against your will. I believe she is truly trying to be a disciple of Christ, rather than one who says "worship me".
But we're all entitled to opinions. :)
