Faith in every Footstep

Did I even go a mission? I just left yet another singles event where I felt like the bad guy.

My Bishop gives me the impression he is still in his Mission Presidency. He put on a slideshow video of his three year service to Hungary. Everyone made wonderful, almost flowery comments about the great memories that come back from their own missions.

I felt like changing the channel. Get over it already. Prior to leavening Louisiana, I received word most of the people I helped come in to the Church had already left. What good had I done?

I remember being so excited when I learned about the commemoration project in December of 1996. The theme for the following year was to be all about the pioneers. When I started to talk about it, I was quickly reminded that it was mentioned in the previous General Conference. Just went to show how much attention I paid to it.

The future looks brighter than it did a few years ago, but what exactly is going to happen? I suppose I ought to take faith in every footstep.
