I joined ACM a few months ago. I got an email regarding a computer animation demo reel showing and ignored it until I saw the accronym SIGGRAPH on the Pixar entry in wikipedia. I just hasd to go.
It was an adventure. My plan to get to and from Tyson's Corner was pefectly executed. Now that I’ve been out here long enough, I guess I more willing to take on more adventuers. The people there were all artists and I was like the only one that couldn’t draw a thing. It was cool though.
I got screwed out of another atempt to Monticello, so I have decided to take the train one day. That way, I’m not waiting for someone to pull the rug out from under me, so to speak. I admit it would be fun with lots of people, but I tire easily over coordinating schedules.
Everyone I asked out for tonight turned me down. One, whom I wasn’t expecting to call me back, I knew she would not make it. I had to ask her if she even wanted me to ask her out again, because I felt I was bugging her. She didn’t answer directly, so what do you do about that?
