I heard that song at the Carnival. Perfect title. I don't have a girl friend for the following reasons. There are probably more, but this is good for this post.
1. I don't believe I will ever have one.
2. If reason 1, by some miracle proves true, I'm not sure what I would do.
3. I recently stopped targeting one person and just went for them "all". Until I get incentive to chase just one, why bother?
I got an invite to a group date. I forwarded the message to a few people. I was careful to send each an individual message. One I sent to someone I knew would say no, and she did immediately. One I sent to, I thought would say yes when she saw the list of guys who got the email I did. Well maybe for that reason, she said yes.
This response came right after I had asked someone whom I knew would say yes. I waited for a day before asking her. When I got no replies, I figured I didn't want to be the only one without a date.
Well, the organizer, switched it to a group thing so I didn't feel bad for inviting so many. When it was switched back to emphasize a date thing, I knew I had to break off one.
The one I knew would say yes is a friend. I understood she was interested in this guy out of the state. She also asked if she could invite her roommate -- which I thought was weird. I usually get that when one doesn't want to be alone with me.
I further understood she had talked to the organizer about going with her roommate. The organizer knew my predicament and I guess I just assumed he said something.
Well, I felt like I hurt her feelings pretty bad. Damn it!
Oh sorry. Dang it.
So there it is, the story of the year.
