In Louisiana, the term juked was used to mean the appointment fell through because the other party forgot or purposely was not there when they agreed to be.
It was bad to be juked but it was worse to juke others - which happened a few times. When it was foreseen that a conflict might arise, I would call to inform people of the situation. It was only polite.
