Trouble with nieces

Well, there is no trouble with them, just not enough time to spend with both of them. I guess I just need to pick which one to spend time with and try to balance things out.

When my Mom wants to talk about shopping, she usually doesn't bring it up with me. So, I should not feel too bad when one of my nieces likes to play ball and the other doesn't.

"Pretend this is a beach ball and we are at the beach." one said.

"It is a beach ball," I countered. "Now just throw it back to me."

The other kid did not need instruction on how to play the simple game. Honestly is way more fun to play ball with her.

At Disneyland, I would carry Melia, the youngest, because she is lighter. It was fun to see her mimic me when I would reach up to touch a low hanging branch or what not. I even taught her to grunt when she would stretch and then to sigh when she touched the object.

Corryn and I had good times too. And there shall be more in the future!!!

I know what you mean. I think it all comes down to the fact that kids are fun at Corryn's age...but they are very fun at Melia's age. I remember you being pretty attached to Corryn when she was at the age Melia is now.

It is a lot more fun to see a kid discovering and learning things for the first time than it is to have to play pretend all day every day like you do when you hang out with a 4 year old. Oh well...I'm just going to enjoy things while they last...because they always change. I'm not looking forward to when they are teenagers and become no fun at all.
