It is kind of raining out this morning. Yesterday was prefect… on all aspects. Well, I was reminded why I don’t like web development. The other day I witnessed again how all browsers are not the same.
When developing a MS Windows software application, you are pretty much guaranteed it will run the same on all machines and mostly likely every version of the OS. With lousy Java though, it is “write once, test everywhere”. So it is with web stuff.
But this reminder regarded a “minor” change from the user stand point that caused quite a headache to change. I must be the only one in the world that generally doesn’t get all bent out of shape if a web form asks for a certain format or what not. I only get mad if the site doesn’t do anything or is too slow.
