There was a guy in the zone who had some video editing equipment. Our zone did a great mock up of Wayne and Garth as missionaries.
It started out with an interview of two Elders. All the time being made fun of with the cue cards… Then Garth thought it would be fun if they were missionaries… NOT!
Anyway, they go through this fantasy where they are missionaries. The tract into Mr. Rogers, played by Elder Drake. Rogers had ordered a Book of Mormon
He demonstrated that the book had many picture – pictures.
They tracted into the Pope, John Paul II. When that door opened the missionaries feel to the ground. “We’re not worth.” They chanted.
Wayne corrected the scene. “Hold on.”
Rewind. The door opens, the Pope falls to his knees. “I’m not worthy!” he chants.
“Excellent!” shouts Wayne and Garth as they congratulate each other.
They tract into some bum (Elder Young, my comp.), President Bush Sr. (Elder Barris who was on the cover of USA Today once as a missionary), Forest Gump, and some French guy (Elder Platt who got sent home a few months later I think).
Anyway, it was a really fun little production. Wish I could show it to everyone. It’s packed up in Utah somewhere.
