I recently saw the making of a movie I grew up with. The scene from the Dark Crystal , looked like a scene I envisioned for the start of my Zem book. I guess a dark castle with lightening isn't rare but I just started to wonder how many of my stories are regurgitations of other movies I have seen or books I have read.
If I am doing this then who else is too?
This actually one reason I fast forward through movies. I put myself in the place of the writer and anticipate what I would have said or done. It is easy to guess what is coming so why wait to find out if I am right?
