I Miss…

It is a slow day at work today. I am getting ready for a meeting this afternoon but other than that there isn’t a whole lot going on right now so I thought I’d blog on couple of things I miss. (for an similar post from earlier click here).

I miss Oingo Boingo. They were my favorite band for a very long time. Danny Elfman and the boys were the greatest. I still listen to their CDs quite often but I really miss seeing them live. Here’s a link to a site that attempts to keep up on what Danny Elfman has been up to.

I also miss Chris Carter, one of my best friends ever. I was a moron after I moved from Utah and I didn’t keep in touch with him. I was so stupid I even forgot to send him an invitation to my wedding. He probably hates me now…I don’t blame him…but I do miss him.

I miss mountains. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t miss them enough to leave the garden paradise I live in now, but I do miss them. I’m excited for our trip to Utah this weekend…it will be fun to see the Mountains again…especially from the Morgan side.

Well…enough blogging for now. Maybe I’ll go try to get a hold of Chris and see if we can get together sometime while I’m in Utah this weekend. Updates later.

  1. Well speaking of things you missed, here is a few more: the word “not” I assume in paragraph 1, a link, and the letter “m” in paragraph 2.

Music for a darkened people? What’s that all about?

Most of the time at work it is great, but when it gets slow I find myself going to the Mannings’ sites to find new posts. Especially new pictures of Corryn.

  2. You know what I miss? I miss long, run-on sentences like the one Jeremy has in his “blog-goals” — the first one. I find myself, college degree and all, sometimes writing a really long sentence that makes perfect sense to me and I think, “My 9th grade English teacher would croak if he read this,” before retyping it all over again.

Of course, he used to say things like, “No tickie, no laundry,” which still stumps me.

  3. Hey Lars!

Yeup long sentences are out of control, but Nathanial Hawthorne and lawyers like to write really long sentences.

English is so messed up anyway. I figure if you can communicate well enough, I can over look poor grammar.

  4. Hey Michael,
Even if yu overlook poor grammar I hope you will continue to let me now about typos you notice on my site. It is usually bet to let me know about them in an email rather than in the coments section of this site though. When I correct them after you pont out the errors the comment tha is stil on the site dosn’t make any sinse.

(typos and errors in this comment are to highten the keen sence of irony present in this blog)

  5. Hello Jeremy,
    You wrote:

That sort of implies that you sometime have busy days. What gives? :-) Your little girl is getting prettier all the time. Hope you are well.
    Best wishes,
    Barry
