I created this post a while ago and have more recent Clark bashing available on the site for those who are interested.

When it comes down to it I think that supporters of this Clark fellow shouldn't be allowed to vote. They clearly aren't knoweledgable enough about their candidate or America to do anything but harm by casting their vote.

See the above comment for proof...

You Bushies are a laugh you just don't want bush in a debate with Clark. What will bush say when Clark asks "where were you during Vetnam?" bush was at home doing cocaine. bush is a deserter and doesn't even deserve to shine Clarks dirty boots. It is gross that trash like bush is sending our brave troops into harms way when he is nothing but a coward.

Vietnam Iraq Quagmire ? In Vietnam war from 1965 to 1972 was between conventional uniformed military forces with occasional terrorists style attacks against soft targets like civilians. Asymmetric war forces the attacked to defend many targets while trying to convince the population where the terrorists origionate to give up their bad actors. I lived in there for those eight years and you don't want fight that kind of fight here. Then and now I notice that quagmire advocates seldom offer solutions except, vote for my candidate". Or the simpler more emotional ones today just rail against, Bush and complain about Florida, where its poll workers tried to sex up results. From what I learned in Pakistan, today's Islamic holy warriors are committed to wage war against the Satanic US for 100 years if needed achieve their goals. This war is biger than Iraq. Imagine the middle east with a democratic republic government in Iraq where we have a real military victory. The dictator has fallen, political control is returning to the Iraqi people. Seems they would have a better chance to build a better life with a new constitution, police force, and some chance of a free republic before we turn the place over to the UN so the French can renew their commercial interests.

I strongly disagree that the hunting party in Iraq should be compared to Viet Nam. We don't have to get the lousy LBJ's authoruization to blow up an outhouse.

Also it appears most casuaties come from friendly fire. Viet Nam was a blood bath.

Maybe you should actually find out what Clark believes. He hasn't said anything to indicate that he would have handled this any differently...in fact...last October he said we should should give Iraq 60 days then send in troops! He would have invaded Iraq three and a half months earlier than Bush did! Or maybe he would have piddled around for months without accomplishing anything other than embarrassing himself like he did in Bosnia. It isn't really that hard to get information on his record...you should try looking around the Internet a bit...its all there. Your probably right that he'd be as good a foreign policy president as Bush...but he'd have all of Clinton's people there as his staff. They gave us 9/11.

Your definition of quagmire would apply to Germany and Japan after World War II. Thats pretty silly.

Prior to the Bush Doctrine that got us into this war, I predicted as you and I spoke, that it would be another Viet Nam. Well, can we tell the difference between Guerilla murderers and our supporters. No. are we in a quagmire? Yes. The support from Gen Clark comes from those of us that are certain he is the only Presidential Candidate that will get us out of this mess.

What I get out of the media is that he is playing on his prior General status like he would be the first General as President.

The framers of the Constitution would not have guessed what America is like today so any 100 year prediction isn't worth wipeing my butt with. Unless someoone prints it out for me.
