Here’s a cool story about a successful operation conducted by United States intelligence agencies during the cold war.

I still haven’t made it to the Spy Museum here in DC yet. Stories like this really make me want to go.

I forgot to include the link in the original post. It is there now. Read the story…it is and excellent example of ingenuity on the part of American intelligence services.

  2. Well imagine that - perhaps the French aren’t so bad after all!! And on top of that, Mitterrand was from the Socialist Party!

  3. The French weren’t so bad…but they weren’t so good either.

    They are worse now. The U.S. shouldn’t consider the French allies. They are rivals at best.
