Working From Home

I’ve just completed my first full week of working for Advantage Home Appraisal (we’re still working on improving the website) full time. It has been exhausting. I really did want to blog every evening after Corryn was put to bed but I found myself at the computer pulling comps on houses to be appraised or doing data entry on houses that had already been inspected. The past two weeks have been our busiest ever. There is tons of work to do and not enough time to do it. Lisa and I have both been really frustrated with the fact that Corryn is being neglected so we are thinking about hiring someone to do some data entry for us so we can spend more time with her. The extra work is a blessing because it means more money but it sure comes at a high cost. It is a good thing I quit when I did.

Today we took a bit of a break. We had to inspect three houses and I did a bit of work this morning but we also spent most of the morning and afternoon as a family. It was fun. We went out to eat at Sweetwater and we had fun singing together in the van as we went to and from Centreville. A perfect Saturday. Our yard looks terrible but I don’t really care right now. I’ll worry about it next week if I have time to think about it.

Here are some pictures of Corryn:

…wait…the funniest thing just happened. Corryn came running in as I was preparing to post some pictures of her screaming happily, “I FOUND MY HOTDOG DADDY!!! I FOUND MY HOTDOG!”

I looked at her with what must have been a bit of a confused look on my face and she said, “I dropped it earlier but now I’VE FOUND IT!!!”

I told her good job and she ran off excitedly. I’m going to go hang out with her after I post this so here are the pictures and a brief comment about Rantisi.

We had to get the oil changed yesterday and since we were in a hurry we stopped at the Jiffylube on our way home from some training on making best use of the MRS (real estate database) system. We sat outside while we waited for the van to be finished. Corryn loved it. She started out sining songs to us then she invented a fun game that consisted of her running back and forth in front of the table where patrons of the oil change establishment waited for their cars to be finished. I love having a job where I always have a camera with me. (I got a new cool camera that takes great pictures and is small enough to fit in my pocket. IT IS EXCELLENT!)

Here are a couple pictures of Corryn playing her fun game at Jiffylube.

Rantisi was a thug who intentionally targeted women and children for murder. I’m glad he is nothing more now than a smear on a Gaza City road. Good riddance.
