If this is true not only will I not vote for Bush but I’ll have a Kerry sign on my front lawn by Nov. 2.
UPDATE Amen and amen.
Here is a portion of a comment I recieved from my favorite commenter on the left, John:
Unfortunately polls are suggesting that these ads are working. Bush denied any connection with the swift boat group but then the Bush campaign attourney resigned after it was revealed that he was repressenting the swiftboat group.
Sinking to perhaps a new low, the Bush campaign is now exploiting the olympic games in an political ad. Scumbag.
Oh please. The guy is a scumbag but not because he’s “exploiting” the “sacred” Olympic games. I don’t see what’s so bad about pointing out that it is only because there is a Bush administration that there is an Iraqi Olympic team that isn’t going to be fed into a plastic shredder when they don’t medal. That’s effective political advertising.
My fear of the Republicans goes back to their latest moves in the whole Swift Boat Veterans for Truth controversy.

Corryn and I went biking this morning on the George Washington Parkway Bike Trail. It was a perfect morning for it and we had a great time. When I needed a rest I told Corryn it was time for pictures and we dismounted and took these. That girl is a natural. Everytime I told her I was going to take a picture she tried to strike a pose. Cool.
Here are some of our pictures from today:

Here is another picture that is a little bigger.
We had a great time and will be doing it again sometime soon. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I have two girls begging to go for a bike ride with me!
Things have been very busy the past few months and I’m sad I haven’t been able to keep this page as updated as I wanted too. Here is a lame picture of me talking to a mortgage officer on one phone and Marci on the other. Marci got to hear my end of the conversation and she made fun of me because I am so good at kissing butt.
Those years of being a bill collector at AT&T sure paid off.

I’m generally skeptical about home owners associations. I want the freedom to be able to do what I want with my home and property without having the busy bodies of the neighborhood get on my case. We don’t have a home owners association in my neighborhood and for the most part I’m glad.
Today while driving around in Stafford County Virginia I came across a good argument for HOAs.

This picture doesn’t do the house justice. It was a truely ugly specimen. I’m sure there are people who think it would be nice to live in a ranch home with 6 funky chimneys and that lovely brick job and I’m glad we live in a country where they have the freedom to do that…but I’m sure glad I don’t live across the street from that guy. I’d hate to have to see that monstrocity every morning when I go outside.

I think the first Swift Boat Veterans For Truth ad was a political cheap shot, but no more so than “Fahrenheit 911″. The book had some accusations that have proven true but I don’t think Kerry’s lie about being in Cambodia on Christmas of 1968 is as politically damaging as some others do. It certainly doesn’t make him any less fit to serve than someone who was most likely AWOL during the same war.
This ad is devastating. I’ve heard Kerry’s speech to the Senate before but it is really hard not to absolutely hate the guy when you watch this ad and hear from guys who were tortured by the communist animals in North Vietnam for not making the accusations Kerry made merely to gain political notoriety.
Here’s a cool picture of a butterfly I found on our driveway yesterday.

Corryn, not wanting to be outdone, is shown here with an upside down duck on her head…

…and she is shown here shortly after her second attempt at applying “makeup” with dry erase markers.
