  2. “That’s a nice out of context quote.”–meaning that context is everything. Does Christensen really believe that tolerance is bad? Was he talking about tolerance of evil? A quote like that is worthless without context.

    Is there a context where that means something benign? This type of muddled thinking seems to be typical of the way many Utah Republicans think…just look at the current immigration debate taking place in the 3rd district.

    I’m sorry I don’t know what the context of Christensen’s comment was. I really think that someone running for office should probably try his best not to let really stupid things like that cross his lips though…even if there is a proper context for them.
