Here is a great Wired piece about Masi Oka, the actor who plays Hiro Nakamura on this years best new TV show “Heroes”.

  1. Awesome! That guy is living the dream life of many of us ‘white n nerdy’ guys!

  2. Hiro is really the character that got me to stop channel surfing and watch Heros. (Previously, I’d seen clips of Claire, and just couldn’t dig her.) An awsome character and an awsome actor behind the character - he’s a boon to the reputation of programmers =)

  3. So I’m a little late to the Heroes party. I watched the first 5 episodes yesterday and I’m hooked. Hiro is great. I wonder if they ripped his name off from “Hiro Protagonist” the “hero” of Neal Stephenson’s “Snow Crash.”

  4. Dan,

I wouldn’t be surprised. There are tons of references to modern hero adventures throughout this series. I’m excited to watch episodes again over the next few weeks with Lisa so we can pick out other cool things we notice or think about while watching.
