How Utah’s Legislators Make Money…
Is it surprising that Utah’s Republican politicians won’t pass any real ethics reform? Not really.
Politicians shouldn’t be reaping such huge financial rewards from entities subject to their legislative efforts. That should be basic common sense.

My neighbor and friend, Rep. Roger Barrus (R) of Centerville, did not receive a single contribution for his re-election campaign from anyone other than lobbyists and special interest groups. Only his brother in law gave him any private donation. In the great State of California a lobbyist has a $10.00 limit per state assembly person. Why are we so different here in Utah Jeremy?

Grrr. I’m so tired of the self-righteousness of the republican party, which is so crappily supported by their own practices. I probably shouldn’t read posts like this… With all the primary splash in the media right now I’m already ticked off at the political system in general.
