I think a system like the ones already in place at the Theme Parks would work great! Remember standing underneath the paw of some cartoon character to see if you are tall enough to ride a ride? All the restaurants would have to do is take a wood cut out of some cartoon character like baloo the bear and every patron would have to stand in front of it.
